Echo Vinyl Return & Refund Policy
At Echo Vinyl (“we,” “us,” “our”), we want you to be happy with every record you purchase. Because vinyl is a physical, often fragile format, our policy distinguishes between new/sealed items and pre-owned/used items.
Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
1. Return Eligibility
1.1 Timeframe
You may request a return within 30 days of the delivery date.
After 30 days from delivery, we generally cannot offer a refund or exchange.
You must contact us for authorization before sending anything back.
2. Condition of Items
2.1 New / Sealed Vinyl Records
New/sealed records may be returned only if:
The item arrives damaged or defective, or
We shipped the wrong item.
If you open a sealed record, it is generally no longer eligible for a refund unless there is a clear manufacturing defect (e.g., bad pressing, major warp, no audio on one side).
2.2 Pre-Owned / Used Vinyl Records
Our pre-owned records are graded and described to the best of our ability (e.g., VG, VG+, NM).
Pre-owned items may be returned if:
The received item significantly differs from the description or grading, or
There is major, unlisted damage that affects playability.
Slight surface noise, minor cosmetic marks, and normal wear consistent with the stated grade are not considered defects.
2.3 Non-Returnable Items
Unless required by law, the following are non-returnable:
Items sold as “AS-IS”, “Clearance”, or “Final Sale”
Opened sealed records with no pressing defect
Digital downloads or access codes that have been revealed or used
Gift cards
3. Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged in shipping or you believe the record is defective:

Include:
Your order number
A brief description of the issue
Photos or video of:
The packaging
The record and/or sleeve
Any visible damage or defect
We may offer one of the following, depending on availability:
A replacement of the same item
A store credit
A refund to your original payment method
4. Wrong Item Received
If you receive the wrong item:
Contact us at [support@echovinyl.com] within 7 days of delivery.
Provide your order number and details of what you received vs. what you ordered.
We will:
Provide a prepaid return label (for domestic orders where we made the error), and
Ship the correct item or issue a refund once the incorrect item is returned in the condition received.
5. Return Process
To request a return:

The reason for the return
We will respond with:
Approval or denial of your request
Any additional instructions
Return shipping details or a label (if applicable)
5.1 Shipping Costs for Returns
If the return is due to our error (wrong item, major grading mistake, or defective product), we will typically cover return shipping or provide a prepaid label (for eligible orders).
If the return is due to buyer’s remorse (e.g., changed mind, ordered wrong item, no longer wanted), you are responsible for:
Return shipping costs, and
Any applicable restocking fee (see below).
5.2 Restocking Fee
For non-defective returns, we may charge up to a 10–15% restocking fee to cover handling, inspection, and re-listing.
No restocking fee will apply when the return is due to our error or a confirmed defect.
6. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email that we have received your returned item and will confirm approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved:
Refunds will be processed to your original method of payment (or as store credit, if you prefer).
Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer.
6.1 Partial Refunds
In some cases, only partial refunds may be granted, such as when:
The item is not in its original condition and/or has damage not due to our error
Parts of the product (e.g., inserts, download code) are missing
The return is requested after the stated return window but is still accepted as an exception
7. International Orders
For international customers:
Customs fees, duties, and taxes are non-refundable and are the responsibility of the buyer.
If you refuse a package or it is returned due to incorrect address, we may refund the item cost minus any shipping, customs, or return fees we are charged by the carrier (case-by-case).
8. Exchanges
We can sometimes offer exchanges for another copy of the same title or a different item of equal value, depending on stock.
If you would like an exchange instead of a refund, please mention this in your return request email.
