“Extension” was the last of three Blue Note recording sessions led by George Braith. The album features soul jazz with Grant Green on guitar, Billy Gardner on organ, and Clarence Johnston on drums. The tracks include “Nut City,” “Ethlyn’s Love” (dedicated to his mother), “Sweetville,” and a cover of Cole Porter’s “Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye”. Braith plays tenor, soprano, and alto saxophones on the album.
